I have been teaching at Cypress College since 2017. I started my Information Technology career by joining the California State University at Fullerton. I later joined British Petroleum (Hitco Carbon Composite) as Senior Information Systems Specialist (for nine years). I spent another five years with Bank of the West, BNP Pariba (formerly Sanwa Bank) as Senior Open Systems Team Lead, Emerging Technology Engineer and Enterprise Information Security Manager. I have my graduate and undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas.

I have completed my Cisco Certified NetAcad Instructor (CCNA, ITE, CyberOps), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Certified Novell Engineer (CNE), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), AWS CCP, AWS Academy Accredited Educator, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Cloud Essentials, and Security+ certifications.

My teaching experience includes over 25 years of instruction in Information Systems and Technology, Network Management, Windows & Linux Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Project Management, Wireless Networking, IT Fundamentals, Cloud Computing, Network Security and Ethical Hacking. I currently represent our division in Curriculum Committee and serve as Computer Science and Cybersecurity student club faculty advisor.
