Paul Kelley
Paul Kelley is an automotive instructor specializing in the Toyota T-TEN area. The subjects taught are Engine repair, Automatic Transmissions, Manual Transmission & Driveline, Brakes, Suspension, and Heating & Air Conditioning. He is an ASE master certified technician with ASE’s A1-A8, L1, L2, A9, X1, and G1. Paul completed his Associate’s in Science Degree in Automotive Technology, General Motors ASEP program in 2004 at Hudson Valley Community College. He completed his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Empire State College in 2008, and Master’s of Science in Instructional Design from California State Fullerton in 2018.
He worked for 7 years at Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Kia dealers as a master technician before moving to California from upstate New York. He worked 4 years as a mechanic/machinist for CSX and Union Pacific railroad, overnight, on 4500 Horsepower turbo diesel engines while teaching part time at 3 schools in Southern California. His passion for automotive, community college values, and an education with an automotive manufacturer sponsorship is why he pursued becoming a Toyota T-TEN instructor. For fun, Paul enjoys riding motorcycles, motocross, off-roading, canyon runs, and anything that goes fast.
