I have been teaching for almost 20 years and am a new addition to Cypress College.

I attended two years at a community college and then transferred to Cal Poly Pomona to earn my bachelors degree in Dietetics. I completed a Dietetic Internship through the Veteran’s Administration in coordination with UCLA. With that program, I earned a Masters of Public Health and became a Registered Dietitian. A few years later, I completed a program that allowed me to become a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

I am also a mom to three children and a wife to my husband. I love teaching but what you might not know is that sometimes I am lecturing to myself! I am nowhere near perfect when it comes to food, and I am so grateful that every semester I get to remind myself that eating greens is worth the effort and that beans just might save my life – for real.
