High School Articulation: Counselors / Educators

The Career Technical Education Department facilitates the articulation process for Career Technical Education (CTE) courses with high schools/schools districts.

If your high school/school district is interested in articulating a class/course, please contact Ann Griffo-Kennelly at agriffokennelly@cypresscollege.edu

The following course articulation information is to be submitted;

  1. Name of the class/course
  2. Course description
  3. Prerequisites
  4. Course objectives
  5. Competency and skill requirement (student will attain through this course)
  6. Textbooks/materials used in the class course
  7. How the class is graded (quizzes, presentations, etc.). Please provide samples of quizzes and/or tests
  8. Course outlines
  9. Syllabus

Upon review of the course articulation information, college faculty will review the above information submitted to determine:

  • If course meets the minimum requirements
    • If articulation is possible, staff will draft an articulation agreement
    • Cypress College will work collaboratively with the high school/school district to process the agreement
    • Original agreement will be maintained at Cypress College
    • If faculty has questions or concerns, staff will facilitate a possible meeting to address issues
    • If faculty does not feel articulation is possible at this time the high school/school district will be notified
