Brenda Toy, BVE, RDH, RDA, CDA

Brenda Toy is a dedicated, multi-credentialed Dental Assisting Educator and Dental Clinician holding licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), and Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), with more than three decades of clinical expertise and academic instructional leadership.

She combines an extensive clinical foundation with advanced academic achievements. She earned associate degrees in natural sciences and dental hygiene—graduating as class valedictorian—and a bachelor’s degree in vocational education, graduating summa cum laude, to deliver high-quality, student-centered dental instruction.

Brenda previously taught Dental Science for 14 years at local community college. She joined the Cypress College Dental Assisting Team as a part-time instructor in November 2020 and transitioned to a full-time role in August 2023.

Driven by a love for dentistry and community service, Brenda is passionate about mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. In the classroom and clinic, she cultivates critical thinking, clinical excellence, and professionalism to prepare students for successful careers.
