National Day of Mourning: Campus Closed Jan. 9
In observance of the National Day of Mourning to honor the late former U.S. President James Earl Carter, Jr., most Cypress College campus operations and services will be closed and all in-person classes will be canceled Thursday, January 9.
The following essential services will remain operational:
- Campus Capital Projects
- Campus Communications
- Campus Safety
- Cypress College Foundation
- Maintenance & Operations
- Some athletic programs and services
- External facilities rentals and community events
Cypress College will resume normal business operations on Friday, January 10. For questions about this closure, please contact your instructor or immediate management supervisor.
