Deadline Extension: Health and Wellness Peer Educator Program
The Health Center has extended the deadline for students to apply to the Health and Wellness Peer Educator Program Pilot Test. The deadline has been extended to Friday, April 12, 2024.
The purpose of the program is to train students to become leaders and promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles on campus. There are only four positions available at this time. The program requires a one-year commitment from the incumbents, who are required to be a registered student at Cypress College throughout the duration of the program. We encourage students who are interested in public health, mental health, school health, nursing, psychology, kinesiology, or any other fields related to health and wellness to apply.
Students in this program will be compensated with the following:
- Paid for NASPA certification, a 12-hour foundation training in the core skills that will make them a better leader, role model, activist, and team member. Certification is transferrable to a four-year university ($109 value)
- Monetary compensation available
- Earn a letter of introduction when applying for future internships, programs, or employment opportunities
